Observation #3

For my observation, I went to our local Dairy Queen and I attempted to make an effort of noticing how people conduct themselves through their arms and torso.  Older gentleman who were by themselves would stand to the side, fold their arms or hands in their pockets and would make some eye contact with the occasional head nod as if to say hello.  Families seemed too occupied with themselves to notice ANYONE ELSE and almost seemed rude as they would pass by and parents attempting to hold onto their kids or point them to the table.  Teenagers that came in were really relaxed and open, talking with their hands is another thing I noticed.  I'm really liking this people watching.

  1. I noticed the some of the same things at McDonalds. The families were in their own worlds and mother's chasing after their kids. I like people watching too and now that we have meanings behind certain behaviors, it makes it even more fun and interesting.
