Hello & Welcome!

I hope the first week of class finds you well! As you may have noticed, we will be using both this blog and CANVAS to communicate this semester. You are welcome to post anything relating to nonverbal communication that you may discover (funny videos, songs, memes, etc.) over the course of the summer.

This blog will also be where you will upload your Weekly Journals and Weekly Observations. You can find more information about the requirements for those assignments on CANVAS and in the syllabus. Your blog posts should be uploaded by midnight on Friday. Be sure to comment on other blog posts to let us know you are reading them!

Finally, this week's Weekly Observation location is a store. This can be a mall, a grocery store, or some other type of retail store. You must go to the location and observe nonverbal communication for 30 minutes. Keep track of the nonverbals that you witness, as well as your personal interpretations for the messages, and submit your log in a blog post by Friday. Please share any funny moments, encounters, stories, or other activities that you experience during these observations. It should be a great time to people watch!
